Invoicing with Wise
Wise (formerly TransferWise) lets you hold and receive money in many currencies with local bank details. In Myra, "Wise" simply means show my Wise bank details on the invoice.
There is no Wise connection, no API token and no access to your Wise account. You type in your Wise bank details once, Myra prints them on the hosted invoice pay page along with a payment reference, and you mark the invoice as paid when the transfer lands in Wise.
What this does - and doesn't do
- Does: display your account holder name, IBAN / account number / sort code / routing number, SWIFT/BIC and any extra instructions on the customer's pay page.
- Does: give each invoice a payment reference (e.g.
ACME-000123) so you can recognise the transfer in your Wise activity. - Doesn't: connect to Wise, read your balances, see your transactions, or move money.
- Doesn't: auto-match payments or update the invoice automatically. You mark it paid.
If you want payments to update themselves, use Stripe (cards) or Whop (hosted checkout) instead.
Step 1 - Get your account details from Wise
In Wise, open Balances → the currency you want to be paid in → Account details and copy the details shown. Wise's own guide: https://wise.com/help/articles/2932297/how-do-i-get-my-account-details
Step 2 - Enter them in Myra
- Go to Payments → Integrations.
- On the Bank transfer (Wise) card, fill in whatever applies:
- Account holder (required)
- Bank name
- IBAN - EUR and most non-US
- Account number + Sort code - UK
- Account number + Routing / ABA - US
- SWIFT / BIC - international wires
- Bank address - required by some banks for international transfers
- Currency - the default currency shown on invoices
- Payment reference prefix - e.g.
ACME, so invoices readACME-000123 - Extra instructions - anything else the customer needs to see
- Click Save bank details.
Nothing else is stored. There is no token to create and nothing to revoke later.
Send a Wise invoice
- Payments → Invoices → New invoice.
- Under Payment method choose Wise (bank transfer).
- Pick the contact, add line items and a due date, then click Create.
Myra generates a hosted pay page showing your bank details and the payment reference, and emails the link to the customer.
Marking it paid
Open the invoice and click Mark as paid once the transfer clears in Wise. This is always manual - Myra cannot see your Wise account.
Bank details are required
Myra blocks creating a Wise / bank-transfer invoice until usable bank details are saved: an account holder plus at least one account identifier (IBAN, account number, or sort code / routing number). Without them the pay page would have no way for the customer to pay, so the Wise option stays disabled and shows "no bank details saved" until it's fixed.
Troubleshooting
- Wrong bank details on the invoice - edit them in Payments → Integrations → Bank transfer (Wise) and re-send the invoice.
- Payment landed but invoice still open - that's expected; mark it paid manually.
- Customer didn't use the reference - it only helps you recognise the transfer; it has no effect inside Myra.
