Connect your Microsoft account once and Myra can keep your Outlook calendar in sync and - if you choose - send your emails from that mailbox.
Beta. This integration is new and still being improved. If anything looks wrong or is missing, tell us and we'll get it fixed.
Connecting
Settings → Integrations → Microsoft / Outlook → Connect Microsoft.
Work, school and personal Microsoft accounts are all supported. Connecting asks only for calendar permission - email sending is granted separately, so you can use the calendar sync without giving Myra access to send mail.
Calendar sync
- Your Outlook events - including recurring occurrences, shown in your workspace timezone - are pulled into the Myra calendar so they block availability on your booking pages.
- New Myra bookings are written back to Outlook with the meeting details.
- Cancelling a booking in Myra removes the Outlook event.
- If both Google and Outlook are connected, new bookings are written to whichever you connected most recently - never to both.
- Disconnecting removes the connection and its synced events.
Sending email from Outlook
Switch Email on in the Microsoft / Outlook card and approve the send permission. After that:
- Messages go out over Microsoft Graph, so they appear in that mailbox's Sent Items.
- CC and BCC are supported.
- Settings → Email shows Microsoft / Outlook as a sending method and which method is currently active.
If Myra asks you to reconnect Outlook, it is because the connection has not yet been granted the send permission. Reconnecting takes a few seconds and nothing else changes.
Where Outlook sits in the sending order
A workspace can have Gmail, Outlook and SMTP configured at once, and the order differs by path:
- Inbox / one-to-one: Gmail → Microsoft / Outlook → SMTP
- Automation "Send email" steps: SMTP → Microsoft / Outlook → Gmail
Who can use the mailbox
Like every other mailbox, the Outlook mailbox has a Who can use this mailbox setting: shared with the whole workspace, only you, or specific people. It controls both who may send from it and who can see the replies, and only its owner can change it. See Email.
Troubleshooting
- Events not appearing: open the Microsoft / Outlook card and re-sync; if the connection shows as needing attention, reconnect.
- "Email not connected" when sending: Email has not been switched on for the Microsoft connection, or the send permission was never approved.
- Bookings landing in Google instead of Outlook: reconnect Outlook so it becomes the most recent calendar connection.
