Contracts
Open Payments → Contracts and click Edit on a contract to launch the full visual editor.
The editor
A full-page workspace with three regions:
- Left toolbar - Pages, Variables, Payment Settings, Document Settings
- Canvas - your document as stacked A4 pages
- Right panels - Recipients and per-field Properties (slide in when you need them)
Pages
Click Pages to add, delete, or jump to any page. Each page is its own card on the canvas.
Variables
Click Variables to insert tokens like [Contact.FirstName], [Agency.Name], [Document.Title], [Today] - they auto-fill when sending. Add your own under Custom variables and reference them as [Var.YourName].
To insert: click into a text block, open Variables, click the token.
Payment Settings
Per-contract invoice rules:
- Invoice Type - One Time or Recurring (weekly / monthly / quarterly / yearly)
- Enable Direct Payment - collect payment the moment they sign
- Enable Send Invoice - auto-email an invoice on signing (else kept in drafts)
- Enable auto payment - reuse the card from the first invoice for every renewal
- Payment Schedule - split the total into milestones (label / amount / days-after-signing)
Document Settings
Click the gear icon to rename the document and set its look: accent colour, font, and one of ten page styles (Clean, Modern, Branded, Bold dark, Elegant and more). The canvas updates live - click Save to keep it.
Blocks you can insert
Beneath every page is an Insert bar:
- Text · Heading · Image · Pricing table · Divider
- Signature · Initials · Date Signed · Text input · Checkbox
Pricing tables calculate subtotals and a grand total automatically. Smart fields take on each recipient's color. Hover the info icon on any Insert button for a quick description of what that block does.
Images can be uploaded directly from your device instead of pasting a URL. Click Image, choose a file, and it is stored in your workspace assets and embedded in the page. You can still paste an image URL if you prefer.
Deal amounts
Insert [Deal.RetainerAmount] and [Deal.PIFAmount] anywhere in the document. They fill in automatically when a contract is created from an appointment's call outcome (Save the outcome as won, then click Send contract on the appointment) or by the "Send contract for signature" automation action. You can also edit them by hand under Custom variables.
Recipients
Click Recipients in the top-right:
- Pick from your existing contacts or Add new manually
- Each recipient gets a color used for their fields on the canvas
- Toggle Set signing order so emails go out sequentially - each recipient can only sign after the previous one finishes; otherwise everyone signs in parallel
Smart fields
After dropping a Signature, Initials, Date, Text input or Checkbox on the page, click it to open Properties:
- Reassign to a different recipient (the field's color updates)
- Edit the placeholder text
- Mark as Required
- For signatures, toggle Show signer name beneath the field
Required fields block submission until completed.
Sending
Click Send. The contract is delivered from your connected brand email (configured in Settings → Email) - never from Myra. Sequential mode emails one recipient at a time; parallel mode emails everyone at once.
Signers don't need an account. They get a private link, fill in any required fields, and sign by typing, drawing, or uploading a signature.
Contract HTML is cleaned before previewing or sending so unsafe scripts and event handlers are removed.
Sending a contract from a call outcome
On a won appointment, Send contract creates a draft with the retainer and paid-in-full amounts already filled in and the contact added as the first signer. The Template picker shows your saved templates plus Myra's built-in designs, so you can send one even before you've saved a template of your own.
Contract email wording and design
Go to Payments → Settings to control the emails your signers receive.
- Contract email — set the subject, the intro message, the reminder heading and intro, and the "everyone has signed" message. Leave a field blank to use the default wording shown in the box, or use Reset to default.
- You can use
{{contract}},{{business}},{{first_name}}and{{name}}in any of these fields. - Contract design — choose one of four looks (Classic, Modern, Minimal, Bold). Your logo, colour and business details are applied automatically.
- Contract email preview — shows exactly what a signer receives, updating as you type.
The email itself never contains the contract text: signers open a secure link to read and sign the document.
Downloading a signed contract
Once everyone has signed, Download PDF gives you a proper multi-page PDF of the full agreement with a signature certificate listing each signer, their signature, and when they signed. This works for contracts you wrote in the editor as well as PDFs you uploaded. If the file hasn't been created yet, use Generate now. Signers get the same download link on their signing page.
Duplicating a contract
Every row on the Contracts list has a Duplicate button. It makes a fresh draft copy of the document — same wording, pricing, payment settings and reminders — with no signers, no signatures and no sent or signed history. This is the quickest way to reuse a contract you have already signed with someone else. Uploaded PDFs are copied too, so editing the copy never affects the original.
Filtering the list
Chips above the list filter by status: All, Draft, Awaiting signature, Signed, Completed, each with a count. Your last choice is remembered on that device.
Downloading any contract
Every row on the Contracts list has a Download button, and so does the document itself. It saves a PDF straight to your device for any contract, whatever its status. Signed contracts download the final signed copy; uploaded PDFs download the file itself; a contract you are still writing downloads a current-state copy marked "DRAFT - not yet signed", with empty signature areas shown as outlined boxes labelled with each signer's role.
